Welcome to the official website of guitarist, composer, producer and educator Luke Bradshaw.

Born in Cardiff, South Wales 1976, Luke began learning guitar at age 10. After five short years of taking classical guitar lessons Luke sat and passed with distinction his grade 8 guitar exam. Inspired by his dad’s record collection Luke taught himself electric guitar and in no time at all was performing with a variety of bands in and around South Wales.

At the age of 17 Luke won a competition run by the Musicians Union, the prize was a scholarship to study at The Musicians Institute in London. After completing his scholarship Luke went on to study The Berklee College of Music 'Contemporary Music Performance' course.
By age 20 Luke had relocated to London and had become a full time professional musician, performing and recording with a variety of bands, West End musicals and touring shows.

In 2001 Luke moved back to South Wales where he set up home, married and started a family. The following year saw Luke build and set up his own private recording studio in which he continues to produce masses of music product each year, ranging from privately commissioned music for TV and radio, library music and jingles, the recording and production of commercial albums plus the production of backing tracks and click tracks. Luke also offers remote recording sessions direct from his studio. In addition to his studio work Luke continues to perform professionally, working with a long and varied list of artists and shows that have taken him on countless tours all over the world.

In 2005 Luke conceived and created 'The Ultimate Classic Rock Show' a tribute show to the genre of music that Luke grew up listening to. The biggest classic rock anthems from legends past and present performed in one show by a live band (featuring Luke on guitar) accompanied by a fantastic projection and light show. It was the first show of its kind and still continues to amaze audiences and sell out theatres and music venues worldwide.

Luke is also the principal songwriter and producer of the blues/rock band ‘Coolhand’. Their debut self titled album was released in 2014 and the follow up album ‘Coolhand Live at The Globe’ was released in 2016. Both albums are available on worldwide release from all major online music stores and streaming sites. Coolhand continue to perform live and are currently working on their next studio album.

In addition to performing and recording Luke is passionate about music education. With over 20 years experience as a guitar/music tutor Luke has taught in numerous schools, colleges and universities and currently lecturers/tutors on both BMus and BA (hons) contemporary music degree courses. Luke also teaches guitar privately and offers remote online Skype/video call lessons direct from his studio.
